Cleaning the pool

Allan was having trouble getting the pool chemicals right, too much cyanide..being produced as a by product, so the pool shop said it most probably had not been emptied in a while, so to pump out 33% minimum...Allan decided to just empty it and then we would know and it will last for at least three years before we need to do it again.

We had already emptied the spa and now it was the turn of the pool..as you can see the boys loved this, they came home from school and played in the emptying pool. I also took a photo of Allan disassembling the filters and then he cleaned them and put them back together..it took about threes days to complete the emptying, cleaning and filling..and our water bill for that month was only $127 more than usual..not bad really.

Allan also managed to meet the neighbours at the back of us, as he heard them come into there garden mid morning...a lot of water had gone there..he went around and offered to hep them sort out there back yard...he is so kind!!!! they were OK in the end..although we did not invite them t o our Hollywood party..maybe we should have.

just for those of you who are interested..this is where I try and create..and Allan has a bus-mans holiday. He has the desk in the back, I have my silhouette connected to the front desk...

This is Allan and Jack hard at work..they were cleaning the gutters and sweeping the roof...next job will be re-staining the decking...such fun.



You also have photo's of the playscape, the pool and the back decking, hopefully giving you an idea of the garden..these photos were all taken about 5 weeks ago, now we have some beautiful colours in our garden as everything is coming into blossom..the trees look fantastic..

Luckily the pool in all enclosed so any children that come out can not get in easily.

The house

I know I have not managed to get pictures on the blog before..but it has been a case of needing time to download and sort out the photo's so i can upload to here..not an easy task for me..but after literally 5 hours today..all pictures correctly labeled...from when we moved in last November...lots of pictures I can tell you....so the new house..our beautiful home..

So the first picture is the media room, then you have the dining room, followed by the drawing room and then family room...you can see the kitchen and breakfast nook from these photos as well..as well as the breakfast bar...so hopefully it gives you an idea of the house..I have not bothered with the utility or downstairs bathroom..hope that's OK..

we are moved and very happy

I will try and upload photo's for you in the next few days..so you can see our new home.

the move has gone well and we seem to all be enjoying the new house and really quiet relaxed considering all the moving and hunting for things..because life has to go on..homework, washing of clothes...everyone seems really happy.

we are now going in to Thanksgiving holiday, starting today when teh boys get in from school..I am hosting it this year...seems to me to be food, alcohol, friends, with extra dollops of food and alcohol..the only things we will be missing(or not missing!) is the American football which seems to be also a tradition of the holiday.

Christmas is now everywhere, Thanks giving weekend is the start of most people to put up there Christmas tree, although gardens are already being decorated and illuminated big time, it will just increase from now on..once again will try and post some photos for you.
