Hollywood party

so we held a Hollywood themed party and many people came, it was lots of fun..although I must say the camera lies.. look awful and I distinctly remember after my nth glass of wine that I look amazing....

Cara came as Marilyn and look fantastic, so many people dressed up which was great and the rest just had a fantastic time..one to remember for sure..my new neighbours are starting to learn I love parties, and they always come alone..i am very lucky..old and new neighbours.

We had a fantastic rain storm in the middle, thunder lightening and torrential down pour.. it added to the event, for sure and stopped some people from venturing out..Austins roads are not designed to deal with that level of rain, and neither are the tyres..but for those who made it, we all had fun..the last guest went at 4.45am...so I just stayed up and cleared down until late morning and then crashed ...

Beths party

So Beth had a Hula birthday and Cara and I made the cake, it was meant to be Diana's back garden with the kids at the party. here are some pictures to show you.

Pool party

here are the younger party goers, enjoying some refreshments...so important to keep energy levels up.
Adults had to also eat...much more important...in fact I should have eaten more, and the alcohol might not have gone straight to my head...Jo's dad was out visiting from UK, so he came over, I catered, and we used Diana and Johns house, as the pool was a main attraction for most.
Hot tubs are not just for relaxing in!!!!
More fun in the main pool, all the men ended up in the pool with the kids, I enjoyed the hot tub...not that it is heated anymore, the sun does that for us...

Jack's paintball birthday bash

Allan , John and Cara were on one team and Jack and his mates were the other... they had 6 people, the oldies had 3..... guess who kept winning...so the younger ones decided they needed to do some swoping around, it is not good for moral for people 3x your age to be winning!!!!

I very sensibly was at home looking after Alex and Ben, Sammy and Beth, but did supply loads of snacks and drinks....so dutifully they ate them for me.

Breaks and discussing tactic is important..... especially if you are hurting...why do they like paintball?

The birthday boy himself, he bought himself this paint balling jersey, so I am assuming they are going to go again....
When I rang to book it, we discussed age limits( much younger here, they had an 8 year old on there team sometimes and that just is not allowed in UK...same with head shots not allowed in UK, but it is here!!!) and the subject of Cara came up, and the fact she had been a marshal at paint balling for one of her weekend jobs in UK, and they have decided to call there Referees marshals now, and Cara might have a summer job!!!!

Anyway, a good time was had by all, the washing machine has coped with the clothes /paint etc this morning, so all in well in this house.

What fun we had, thank you to everyone who helped make it so special last night. The theme was James Bond and we had a fantastic range of costumes , everyone was so great at joining in the fun and made it a GREAT night.
It is funny today, as even Tex is shattered, that puppy is obviously not old enough to party. She has gone out side once to do her business then has been sleeping ever since on the sofa, now and again wagging her tail to passers by, so funny. Last night, Ben was tired, so lay down on the sofa and used Tex as a pillow, and they lay like that for about an hour, it was sweet, a photo opportunity I missed.
