people make parties

we had a great day, over 100 guests came and fun was had by all. We had a dunk tank, ice cream van, a water bouncy slide and lots of food for all. A candy floss machine ( cotton candy to the Americans) and I cooked beingets and Jo Hunter operated the popcorn machine..the pool was constantly full of people and i had a rotation of life guards so parents did not need to worry.

Jacks good bye party

the boys painted( sprayed) a flag on the grass.

we had tiara's and lei's for the girls

everything was Red white and Blue

Jacks girlfriend Alyssa helping

even the tables were in the spirit
water bottles were decorated

bunting up..

all cushion covers recovered with sheets and pillow cases in ..yes you guessed it, red white and blue

just waiting for guests

It was a wonderful day, we had put a lot of effort into the theme, which was merging Uk and USA. to refelct Jack and his career choice,

Alex and ben at their first Triathlon

My triathelets..
when they had both finished, we got a photo of two happy boys

in the line for there chip ankle braclet

Alex finishing his 200 m

Alex walking after sprinting down the home run of his 2km run

Alex at the end of his 6km bike ride

I am was the cheering party for Alex as he likes being cheered on, and Allan was for Ben as he would prefer no noise at all!!! We had a great morning, all be it early as we had to be on site by 6.15am so we could be marked, chipped and set up the transition area, but that was all managed, and we all learnt a lot. so the next one will be easier..

http://transformationofmarines.wordpress.com/2011/10/29/team-week/

This is a video of what Jack is doing this week in the US Marines bootcamp..he has started the third phase now and is on the home run..

his letters have been interesting, as they do a watch rotation for rattle snakes, have  poisonous spiders to deal with, food is a big topic, i think he is going to eat and eat when he gets home..and nothing that comes out of a MRE packet!!!
